ALL GO FOR 2027!!

2026 has been a year full of surprises. It started with an almost record rainy season, followed by an above average flood coming into the Okavango Delta from the catchment in the Central Angolan highlands. The resultant flooding has led to unprecedented levels of water in especially the Moremi Game Reserve. While this is great news for the environment in the long term, it has not been without it's challenges.
Most of the existing campsites that we have been using over the past couple of decades have been unreachable for most of the year and alternative sites have been created. These alternative sites have also had to move as the level of water keeps surprising even the most experienced of safari operators. This all bodes very well for later on in 2026 and into 2027, for as the water recedes it leaves a rich pasture land for the herbivores to feed on and will be an unprecedented time of plenty for the wildlife in general.
We are very excited for the year ahead!

Come with us on an adventure to India!
We recently had a great safari in India with our partners Wild World India. A small group of 8 enthusiasts had a terrific time in central India in spectacular Tiger reserves and historic cities and sites. We had several sightings of tigers, leopards, spectacular birdlife and a variety of deer and antelope. Click on the above button for more details about the safari. Feel free to contact us if you would like to travel accompanied by Guy.

‘For almost 25 years I have been taking groups of artists and photographers out to Botswana on safari with the Elephant Trails Safari Company, which is owned by the well known naturalist and professional tour guide Guy Symons. The group sizes have ranged in size from six to nineteen individuals and from ten days to three weeks in duration…and on every single occasion, we have had a fantastic time.
From arrival at Maun airport until the time we return (often from Victoria Falls), we are looked after to the highest degree. The four wheel drive vehicles are comfortable and allow maximum visibility, the food is always excellent, the guides are superb and the game viewing is unparalleled.
Should you wish to visit Botswana, I would without hesitation recommend booking a trip with the Elephant Trails Safari Company’.

Pip McGarry, acclaimed wildlife artist and founder and past chairman of the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society
